To provide tools and resources to help the residents of San Juan County (Washington) design and build sustainable buildings and landscapes.
News
Steve Hussey is writing a number of laminated short guides on building sustainable homes and gardens, and managing invasive plants. These will be available later this year (2006). He's also been busy attending the design charettes for the Deer Harbor resort expansion, and the public meetings for the Deer Harbor Hamlet plan.
Steve just invested in a compact tractor, with loader, brush hog, post hole driller and backhoe to help restore his wetland and create a rain garden and bio-swales.
Services
We offer the following services, primarily on Orcas Island, but also to Shaw, Lopez and San Juan (tides permitting).

• Firewise landscaping
• Invasive plant removal
• Rain garden design & building
• Small scale mowing & lawn vacuuming
Steve can also be booked to talk/present on the above topics.
